This painting is part of the ongoing series, The Lovers.

I started The Lovers Series at the beginning of the pandemic when it was just Mrs. Keemo and I in lockdown together. I am sure you remember that time and it was a big change for all of us. It was just the two of us and even though we have been together most of our lives, that time was different. Like many people, lockdown took away most of life’s distractions for us. It gave us a chance to focus more on each other and what we were trying to build together.

With that said, it was this (and her) that inspired this series. The Lovers is about celebrating the people in your life who help you grow and become a better you. The Lovers is about celebrating each other’s individuality while understanding that it is exactly this that makes you stronger together. The Lovers is about, well, love
