The Story

It was late and the words weren’t coming and the paints weren’t flowing and I knew working was useless so I put my boots on and coat on and scarf on and hat on and walked out into the freezing Michigan night. It was silent at that hour and every so often I would look back and see the orange glow from the city and only my footprints in the snow behind me and walking forward I opened up my head and waited for the ideas to come.
